Safety Policy

Purpose and Importance

The safety of our crew, our customers, and their property is our highest priority. Mongold Junk Removal follows strict safety standards on every job to prevent injury, damage, or unsafe conditions. This policy explains how we maintain safe work environments, the precautions we take during removal and hauling, and what customers can do to help ensure a smooth and incident-free service.

Policy Statement

Mongold Junk Removal is committed to performing every job safely and responsibly. Our team is trained in safe lifting, equipment use, and hazard awareness. We follow all local and state safety regulations, including OSHA and DOT guidelines.

We will not compromise safety for speed, convenience, or cost under any circumstance.

Customer and Property Safety

  • Safe Work Zones:
For everyone’s safety, we ask customers, children, and pets to remain clear of the work area while loading or heavy lifting is in progress.

  • Protecting Property:
Our crew will take precautions to minimize damage to walls, floors, and doorways. However, customers should ensure clear paths to removal areas and notify us of any fragile surfaces or hidden hazards in advance.

  • Access Hazards:
If a site presents unsafe conditions such as loose flooring, structural damage, or blocked access, work may be paused or rescheduled until safe access can be provided.

  • Driveways and Surfaces:
Customers should prepare surfaces before service by clearing debris, ice, or mud when possible. If unsafe conditions exist, the job may be postponed or environmental access fees may apply (see Weather and Environmental Policy).

Crew Safety Standards

  • Trained Professionals:
All crew members are trained to lift safely, use the proper equipment, and identify potential hazards before they become problems.

  • Protective Equipment:
Our team uses gloves, masks, safety footwear, and any additional protective gear needed to complete the job safely.

  • Handling of Hazardous Materials:
Crews do not handle, open, or move hazardous or biohazardous materials directly. Any such materials discovered will be addressed under the Bio-Hazard and Hazardous Materials Policy.

Customer Cooperation

  1. Disclosure of Hazards:
Customers must disclose any known safety concerns before service begins, including sharp objects, pest issues, or unsafe flooring.

  2. Pets and Children:
All pets and children must be kept at a safe distance from the work area during active service.

  3. On-Site Presence:
We encourage customers to remain on-site or reachable by phone while work is being completed in case questions or conditions arise.

Incident Prevention and Response

  • If an unsafe condition is identified, the crew will stop work immediately until it can be corrected.

  • If any damage or injury occurs, Mongold Junk Removal will document the situation and notify the customer immediately.

  • Any property damage must be reported before the crew leaves the site so that proper documentation can be completed (see Damage & Liability Policy).

When Safety Affects Scheduling

Occasionally, weather, environmental conditions, or unsafe access may delay service. Mongold Junk Removal will always prioritize safety and communicate with the customer promptly if conditions prevent safe completion of a job.

Additional fees may apply if extra time, materials, or stabilization are required to safely perform work.
