Purpose and Importance

The Pest Policy exists to protect the health and safety of our customers, crew, and equipment during junk removal services. Pests such as rodents, insects, or infestations can spread rapidly and pose serious health and contamination risks.

This policy ensures that all jobs are handled responsibly, safely, and in compliance with sanitation standards.

Policy Statement

Mongold Junk Removal reserves the right to delay, refuse, or modify service at any location found to have a pest infestation or unsanitary conditions that could endanger the crew, other customers, or company equipment. While our goal is to provide efficient service, pest-affected properties require extra caution and may involve additional fees, limited handling, or third-party coordination for safe removal and disposal.

Customer Responsibilities

Disclosure of Pest Activity:
Customers are required to disclose any known pest activity prior to scheduling service. This includes insects, rodents, or evidence of infestation in items or areas to be serviced.
Pest-Free Access:
All work areas must be made as pest-free as possible before the crew’s arrival. If active infestations are discovered, service may be rescheduled after proper pest control treatment.
Hazardous Material Identification:
Any items or materials contaminated by pests or droppings must be identified so crews can handle them according to bio-safety guidelines.
Health Considerations:
Customers should ensure that all pest treatments or chemical sprays have fully dried and are safe for entry prior to service.

Crew Procedures

Inspection and Identification:
Crews will perform a brief visual inspection before beginning work. If pests or evidence of infestation are found, the situation will be documented, and service may be paused pending customer review.
Limited Handling Rule:
Crews may handle pest-contaminated items only if the infestation is minimal and can be safely contained. Any heavy infestation will result in an immediate halt to service.
Containment and Disposal:
If approved to proceed, contaminated items will be bagged or wrapped to prevent cross-contamination before loading.
Equipment Sanitation:
All trucks, trailers, and tools used at pest-affected properties will be disinfected and sanitized before serving the next customer.

Additional Fees

Pest-affected properties or items may incur additional charges to cover safety, containment, and sanitation costs.
Mongold Junk Removal uses the following flat-rate fees:

Flea or Roach Contamination
Bed Bugs, Termites, or Severe Infestations:

Rodent Waste and Biohazard Handling
Light Contamination
Heavy Contamination
Severe Contamination

These rates ensure proper sanitation, crew protection, and compliance with health and safety standards.

Liability and Limitations

Mongold Junk Removal is not responsible for pest transfer, cross-contamination, or property damage caused by undisclosed infestations.
The company reserves the right to decline service for any property or load presenting a health or infestation risk.
Customers may be referred to a licensed pest control company before service can continue.
Repeated service requests to pest-affected locations may be subject to pre-inspection or deposit requirements.

Right to Refuse Service

Mongold Junk Removal reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service under the following conditions:
Unsafe property or working environment
Discovery of prohibited or hazardous materials
Excessive pest or biohazard contamination
Non-payment, fraudulent information, or customer misconduct
Circumstances that violate company policy, law, or safety guidelines
In such cases, a minimum service fee may still apply if travel or labor time has occurred.

Policy Enforcement

This policy applies to all residential, commercial, and storage unit services. Failure to disclose pest activity or comply with containment procedures may result in immediate job suspension, cancellation, or applicable safety fees.

Mongold Junk Removal reserves the right to update this policy in accordance with local health codes and industry sanitation guidelines.
