Restricted Materials Policy
Purpose and Importance
The Restricted Materials Policy outlines the materials that Mongold Junk Removal may handle, transport, or coordinate for proper disposal under specific safety conditions. Some items are not classified as hazardous waste but still require responsible handling to comply with local, state, and federal regulations. This policy protects the safety of our crew, customers, and the environment while maintaining full transparency about what can and cannot be accepted.

Policy Statement
Certain materials require controlled handling but are not classified as prohibited hazardous waste. Mongold Junk Removal may collect, transport, or coordinate disposal of these items if they are safely contained, stable, and acceptable at an approved recycling or disposal facility. All restricted materials must be declared by the customer before service begins.

General Guidelines for Restricted Materials
-
All restricted materials must be identified in advance during scheduling or before the crew begins loading.
-
Restricted materials must be properly sealed, labeled, and free from leaks or damage.
-
Items will be inspected upon arrival, and the crew reserves the right to refuse any material deemed unsafe or unstable.
-
The company will transport restricted materials only to licensed facilities authorized to accept them for recycling, donation, or proper disposal.
-
Additional handling or coordination fees may apply if special transport, packaging, or disposal arrangements are required.

Unacceptable or Unsafe Restricted Materials
Even within this category, the following conditions make restricted materials unacceptable for transport:
-
Leaking or punctured containers.
-
Pressurized tanks with damaged valves or corrosion.
-
Unlabeled or unidentified liquids, powders, or chemicals.
-
Containers mixed with other debris or concealed inside trash bags.
-
Quantities exceeding safe transport limits or local disposal guidelines.
If these conditions are found, the crew will document the materials and coordinate third-party handling under the Bio-Hazard and Hazardous Materials Policy.

Crew Handling Procedures
-
Restricted materials must always be kept separate from standard debris and loaded last for safe handling.
-
Crews will wear appropriate PPE when handling restricted materials, including gloves and masks as needed.
-
Containers must remain upright and stable during transport.
-
If a spill, leak, or pressurization issue occurs, the crew will stop loading, isolate the area, and report it immediately to management.
-
Items requiring drop-off at special facilities will be tracked with disposal receipts for documentation.

Customer Responsibility
-
Customers must inform Mongold Junk Removal of any restricted materials prior to scheduling.
-
All containers must be properly sealed and in safe condition for transport.
-
Customers are responsible for any spills or leaks that occur due to improper packaging or undisclosed materials.
-
Failure to disclose restricted materials may result in additional fees, rescheduling, or refusal of service.

Environmental Commitment
Mongold Junk Removal supports environmentally responsible practices and maintains partnerships with local agencies and recycling facilities for safe disposal of restricted materials.
By properly managing these materials, we reduce landfill waste, prevent environmental contamination, and continue to offer safe, compliant junk removal services to the community.
