Customer Preparation Policy
Purpose and Importance
The Customer Preparation Policy helps ensure that every job is completed efficiently, safely, and without unnecessary delays. By preparing in advance, customers help protect their property, reduce service time, and keep pricing consistent. This policy establishes what is required before a Mongold Junk Removal crew arrives, so that our team can begin work immediately upon arrival and complete each job safely and professionally.

Policy Statement
All customers are responsible for preparing their property and items for removal or hauling prior to their scheduled appointment. Failure to meet these requirements may result in additional fees, rescheduling, or partial service depending on site conditions and crew safety.

Preparation Requirements
-
Clear Access:
All pathways, driveways, and entry points must be free of obstacles, vehicles, debris, or clutter that would prevent safe loading or removal. -
Item Readiness:
Items for removal or hauling should be easily accessible and separated from items not intended for removal. The crew cannot be held responsible for taking or leaving an item if it is unclear which items are designated for removal. -
Disconnection of Utilities:
Appliances such as washers, dryers, refrigerators, or dishwashers must be disconnected prior to pickup. Water lines, electrical cords, and gas connections must be detached safely and capped, if applicable. -
Hazard Disclosure:
Customers must inform the company in advance if any materials to be handled contain hazardous components, biological waste, or pest infestations. Additional procedures or vendor coordination may be required. -
Pet Safety:
Pets must be secured indoors or in a separate area before the crew arrives to prevent accidental injury or escape. -
Outdoor Items:
Items stored outdoors should be dry and accessible. Snow, mud, or overgrown vegetation should be cleared to allow safe entry and loading. -
Large or Heavy Items:
Customers must disclose if items exceed standard lifting weight or require disassembly before the appointment. Additional labor or equipment may be required and will be quoted in advance.

Unattended Pickups
-
For unattended pickups, customers must provide written consent and clearly identify which items are to be removed.
-
The company will not remove items inside closed containers, drawers, or storage units unless they are clearly marked or previously identified.
-
Before-and-after photos may be taken to confirm completion of the service.

Incorrect or Incomplete Preparation
-
If the crew arrives and is unable to perform the scheduled work due to lack of preparation, unsafe conditions, or unclear instructions, a trip charge or minimum service fee may apply.
-
Jobs may be rescheduled at the company’s discretion, and availability will depend on the current schedule and route.
-
Additional time required due to on-site preparation by the crew may result in extra labor charges billed in 15-minute increments.

Liability for Unprepared Sites
Mongold Junk Removal is not responsible for damage to property, flooring, or surrounding areas caused by poor preparation, structural issues, or unsafe working conditions. The customer acknowledges that failure to comply with preparation guidelines increases the risk of delays or accidental damage.

Policy Enforcement
This policy is enforced to ensure every job can be completed efficiently, safely, and according to company standards. The company reserves the right to update or amend this policy as needed to meet safety and operational requirements. The current version will be made available to customers upon request or on the company’s website.
